Pre-opening checklist

If you’re running an event, one of your first priorities is to select a venue which can safely accommodate your planned activities. But having chosen the right premises, you still have work to do. Use our pre-opening checklist to help you.

Safety first

Ensuring a venue is suitable for the capacity you have in mind and that fire precautions are in place should be part of your venue selection process. However, immediately before the start of the event you also need to carry out a quick check that all is as it should be.

Our Pre-opening Checklist will help you conduct an external and internal audit of the site. Make it your policy that it’s completed and signed before the attendees arrive.

Note. Make sure there is plenty of time to rectify any issues found, as they will need to be resolved before opening.
