Why do you need it?

Organisations which wish to work towards a certificated safety management standard, such as OHSAS 18001, will want to develop a Register of Health and Safety Legislation. But even if you’re not sure that you want to go for certification, you may find that your clients are asking to see one. This is the first part of the register relating to management.

Keeping it simple

Our document already contains the main pieces of legislation regarding health and safety management. There’s also a summary of each one and the relevant regulatory body has been identified. All you need to do is tailor the information to suit your organisation’s needs. In particular, you’ll need to fill in the last column describing how the legislation applies to you and give details of any reference materials. However, there’s suggested text to guide you.
