Visitor health and safety policy

Visitor health and safety policy

Controlling the health and safety of visitors can be much harder than for employees because you don’t have the opportunity to train and influence them.  Our Visitor Health and Safety Policy will help you to develop your own policy in this important area.

What’s covered?

Our Visitor Health and Safety Policy will help you to document your arrangements for protecting visitors from harm. There are seven sections covering the issues which will be relevant to the average workplace.

It covers signing in and out arrangements, fire evacuation considerations, safe access routes, restricted access for hazardous areas and the supervision of visitors. It also explores how risk assessments should be used to identify particular risk control measures, such as signage, which may be needed to warn and direct visitors. Finally if all that fails, the last section covers accident reporting and investigation, including the making of statutory reports.
